Andrea and I first met when I was helping out on a show that she co-wrote and starred in with her friend Mallory. I thought she was really funny and super-friendly... and pretty easy on the eyes, too. I was in a relationship but I stayed friendly with Andrea, and when I was no longer in a relationship, I reached out to her.
We went out a few times and on the third date I invited her back to my apartment where we kissed for the first time. I was smitten. From there, we continued to see each other and learn more about one another. My favorite tidbit that I learned about Andrea is the fact that she is the only other person I know, aside from myself, who took the road test four times. I also learned that we both love to experience all kinds of culture; music, theater, art, and comedy.
Comedy is particularly important to us. Andrea is a talented improv comedienne and storyteller, while I am a horrible stand-up comedian. As Andrea mentions in her story, she first recognized me from a viral YouTube comedy video I made back in college. I've been so lucky to have someone to collaborate with. Since the start of our relationship we've gone on to create some fun Jewish spoof videos including a spoof of Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" called, 'Apples In Honey', and a spoof of "Rude" by MAGIC! entitled. 'Food'.
Along with sharing and enjoying our shared interests and hobbies, Andrea has expanded my interests in so many things. She got me into NPR podcasts, a few different television series, and opened my eyes to new adventures together. We've gone biking around Boston, kayaking in the Hudson, and hiking up "Anthony's Nose" in upstate New York. We've traveled to Montreal, Puerto Rico, Portugal, Spain, and beautiful Staten Island... and we're just getting started. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life seeing the entire world with the most amazing person in it!
I couldn't be happier to be marrying my best friend in the world. She is beautiful, funny, exciting, and I love her!
